Body shop quoted a new rocker panel and battery replacement(26k). Drove the car for a month with the damage with no issues. Had the battery inspected at my own cost by Tesla, no issues were found, not even a scratch. I fought hard with the insurance company to fix the car but they didn't care what I had to say.

Sucks dude.
How about buying it out? If they're giving you good money for compensation and they think it's worthless because the battery's no good - but you know it's fine - is it maybe worth taking the money and fixing just the rocker panel? Or heck even just bondoing it and calling it a day. Car still works and drives great right? Lol

Which bodyshop? Can they show you why they think it needs replacement? If there's a warranted cause then I would agree cause a damaged battery may still work, but it would be a ticking time bomb. This isn't a gas car with a dented footwell we are talking about.

If i did it would have a rebuilt title and that would void the remaining factory warranty. Not to mention diminish resale value. They actually told me to go buy it at auction when I asked.

Private insurance. I get 1 free at fault claim so no fucked insurance rates. They offered me a pretty good settlement too.
