No need to drop the sub frame on the ND but there is a TON of stuff that needs to be removed in order to get access the front sway. I just decided I'd rather have someone else deal with that

I got a Red Tiger F77.

underscore: Yeah. 9 years here and finally got one. Irony is the camera arrived a week AFTER the Corolla got hit and run.

Coilovers, bushings, wheels and tires with good clearance, don't want to deal with no rubbing bullshit. Streetable ride height.... holy shit I'm old.

i dont know why he even added more power, that vette is insanely powerful out of the box already. Plus he was having some weird issues with error codes popping up, now hes adding more complexity + heat + tune.

ahhhh to be young again. i look at that shit and like NOOOOPPPEEEEEE

The front sway bar went in yesterday and the car's handling is now 10/10. I picked up a set of Conti Extreme Contact Sport 02's recently and I can't wait to get those on in Spring for super ultra max handling.

The ECS 02 is perfect for the kind of weather we're having now. If you have them mounted on separate wheels, slap them on the car and enjoy~! No need to wait until spring.

I'm going to be running only 1 set of wheels on the Miata. I'll ride the factory Bridgestone S001 into spring before they are replaced. I have Michelin PS4S on the GTI and I'm interested to see how the Conti's stack up.

On a very anecdotal standpoint ECS and ECS 02 are much more trackable than PS4S/PSS lol.

I quite like the ECS 02. Even on colder days like 5* mornings it still grips quite well.

I did a few things last week.

New pads, and clips and pins etc. in the brakes. Oh it feels soooo much better. I don't know why I didn't do this before. Looking at the brakes on the M2 (which are huge brembo's that don't really hack it at the track), these seem tiny, but since the car weighs so little they do a great job.

Single pot Brembo on the back.

It was time for a midpipe on the M2.

Wtf do I do with this now? There are two secondary cats on there that are probably worth something?

I forgot to take a pix of the new pipe before I put it on, but it's MAD and really sounds great.

(this is looking front to back. Previously the pipe also went to the right of the transmission, and now it's a gap.)
I also installed a valve controller, so I get the virile growl without the poser pops and crackles.

The number of pistons doesn't mean jack shit imo.

My MS3 had a GIANT single pot sliding front caliper and small single piston rears. It performed fine at Mission.

My M3 has 4 pot fronts and 2 pot rears, and it performs fine at Mission. The pads are the limiters on the M3 as it does carry more speed and more weight.

The MS3 I ran Stoptech street and EBC Blue on the rear to move the brake bias more rearwards because the car's brake proportion is probably around 90/10.

The M3 I tracked with the OEM pads and they were terrible. I swapped to EBC Blues all around and they are ok. It's much more consistent than the original pads but the ultimate stopping power isn't there. I don't get the feeling that the car is hauling itself down when I brake really hard. With the power and weight of the M3 I think I need to move up a step in pads but I don't want to have to swap pads for track days and also value streetability.

I have no idea before. They came with the car. There was lots of meat left, but the fronts started to crumble a little so I said screw it.

I put on Pagid RS42. Probably half the 'nice' feeling is the new pins and lube and I had one bleed screw that was stuck so I replaced that as well.

2 Thoughts:

Avoid EBC Yellow - terrible on E63. Ferodo DS2500 max temp range is low and they fail by chunking and leaving deposits on rotor. StopTech Sport also kinda fades.

You really have two options - CSG CP or Project Mu HC800. My buddy who has won 0 spec 86 and daily drives has done a ton of track days on both.
I've driven them, no squeal. HC800 is rated for 800C but limited applications, CP is rated for 700.
