I read something that Bambu is no longer being open source and restricting something? Does that change anything if it’s still worth getting?

It's more along the lines of Bambi restricting access and features via APIs for those controlling a print farm. For a single user I think it wouldn't be a big issue.

just bought a bambu printer. what brand of filament does everyone use and which place is best bang for buck to buy at?

I bought a bunch of Bambu Lab filaments and most were fine. Some came loose and were a PITA to respool though. Going through their support was worse than useless - the snarky lady on the other end basically accused me of lying.
On a similar note, anyone here interested in buying a lightly used A1 Mini? I used it a few times only and don't really want it around anymore. DM me if interested.

I swear I don't have a problem. I buy most of mine from Bambu but I have also bought from this place that manufactures in Victoria. https://www.matter3d.com/ I have also bought from Amazon and polymaker. I try to buy when there is a sale and stock up.

Has anyone upgraded from the AMS to the AMS 2 Pro? Thinking of getting one as I have constant issues with my AMS especially the third slot.

Have you opened up your ams to see if there is anything stuck inside? I just bought a second so I can do 8 color prints.

There's a known problem with the AMS in a specific slot where filament gets stuck often. Not sure if there was ever a fix for it or if they revised the newer models. I've never had that problem personally.

Yea I have  what Razer Ramon HG mentioned is what I'm seeing unfortunately. I get it often on my 3rd / 4th slot so I usually can't do multi color prints unless I'm sitting there and babying the printer. I've tried printing all the "fixes" but none seem to work.
Do you have 2 AMS 2 Pros or just the original?
