But how would you prove it though? Would you need evidence of scissoring?
Serious question. Anything for a discount.

oh shit Open Water is completely difference then... hmmmm you are okay to bring your own floatation device right?
Back in Highschool I finished Bronze Cross, and even then I am not certified for open water... plus we were told open water is no joke (completely different from a controled environment like a swimming pool)
Otherwise you will be fine.... no kick off every 25m is huge... (thats why I hated the 50m UBC pool back in the day... fucking 50m seems crazy far lolol)

Looks like Trailseeker and Uncharted configurators just went live on the Subaru website:
Trailseeker:
https://subaru.ca/WebPage.aspx?WebSi...ink=vehiclebar
Uncharted:
https://subaru.ca/WebPage.aspx?WebSi...ink=vehiclebar
Technically the FWD Uncharted trims would qualify for the federal rebate according to Subaru's configurator, though the FWD LR barely squeezes by at $49,811 before taxes.

Apparently you are allowed to reduce the transaction value for the EV rebate, by stacking discounts and rebates.
Maybe I should become a ski instructor... that's yet another $750 off :/

You'll need to check whether these credits are applied after or before taxes, because I'm under the impression that they're applied after.
The BZ Woodland and Trailseeker reviews are starting to come out, which means the C-HR / Uncharted aren't too far behind now.
EDIT - Pricing is out:
C-HR SE - $44,900
C-HR XSE AWD - $49,950
C-HR XSE Premium AWD - $54,400
bZ Woodland - $59,900
bZ Woodland Premium - $64,900
bZ Woodland Premium with All-Terrain Tires - $64,900

Oh damn. But turns out this ^ pricing is before another $3400 in Freight/PDI etc. Baking that in, it feels a little high.
https://media.toyota.ca/en/releases/...ct-electr.html
I see there are factory incentives of $6000 on the '26 Solterra, and $4000 on the '26 bZ. I hope they apply the same level of discounting to the rest of these platform-mates.

Limited $60,811
Premier $63,811
Freight and fees included, taxes extra

But then you're stuck spending thousands to remove the black cladding
edit: shieeet, even the Toyota version has the cladding.

which combined combustion / EV platform car has a trunk?
only lightning and charger which are huge right?
even Ioniq 5 has no frunk and the other BMW platforms similar to TNGA EV don't have one either.

What! These are on a shared ICE platform?!
Geez they should've just popped the EV drivetrain into an existing ICE vehicle then. Why all the bespoke bodywork and interior when they could've just changed the drivetrain into the RAV4 and Highlander, and called it a day.
With all the development savings they could've sold the vehicle at a lower price.

^It was trendy at the time, and I'm guessing they don't want to jeopardize the ICE models' brand equity. Remember, the pre-facelift Bz4X was inferior to their EV competitors by a good gap, and these facelifted bZ close the gap quite a bit.
Mercedes did something similar by separating their traditional ICE models with an EQ lineup of EVs, but is now introducing new traditional models with EV powertrains (CLA, GLC etc.). Toyota is also starting to do the same with the new Highlander EV.

CLA guys worked magic - the EV stuff is a bolt on to the ICE platform AND its frunk and battery are bigger than Ioniq.
For CLA, Trade off is in battery size, CLA has 92kwh battery which is 20kWh less than iX3 which is on dedicated EV platform.
CLA is most similar to 2026 ES where they modified TNGA-K ICE platform to do EV.
CH-R, Solterra, etc on the other hand are EV platform first - battery is structural and will have more passenger room than TNGA-K.
I'm always impressed by Lightning - despite modified ICE platform, they changed the crash structure enough to have the whole front part of the frunk open and multiple 120V power.
GM's frunk is quite a bit smaller and worse capability.
Rivian doesn't even do that.

It does!
But maybe you meant the N. They replaced the frunk with a noise maker ><

And what a serious step backwards that was! I put takeout in the i3's frunk all the time. Where am I supposed to put my food now?!
