^My sister also had a bad encounter with Zack back in his driving.ca days when she worked at Starbucks - said he was rude to her and colleagues. I can't recall how she found out he did car reviews, so I'm guessing it was brought up during their encounter based on how she asked me if I know of him.
I was told Zack isn't his real name either, but I don't have proof of that.

I got used to the turn signal, but I do want to see if I can retrofit the 2025+ turn signal stalk into the 2024 model. What are your thoughts on the sport button?
And yes I agree, this car is about as analog as you can get in a modern sports car. Very little electronic intervention in the driving experience.

Also, Zack Spencer is an alpha twat even going back to his days when he worked in the Global TV studios.
I was extremely disappointed to learn that he was never fired and ended up getting his own show. He's not great at his job and carries a massive ego with him too. I can't imagine being a child to him and his wife.

The sport button is fucking stupid, makes the throttle super sensitive, similar to how you were describing the throttle mapping of the GR86. The stock throttle mapping on the BRZ makes driving around the city a breeze.

I would imagine the sport mode has its time in place, and I'm thinking it's the track. The city, less so, unless you're looking to terrorize the neighbourhood.

But they're saying the sport button just remaps the throttle so that it front-loads all the power to the initial bit of pedal travel, and the remaining half is just dead space?
On track I think I'd prefer the throttle to be as linear and predictable as possible, and have access to the full pedal travel for maximum precision. It's on the street that I'd prefer the throttle fkery to make the car feel effectively like it has 480hp on tap lol

I'm speculating but I would imagine with the throttle map change, your fuel map optimizes your power band and throttle being linear and predictable, and that's where the sport button has its place.

The Sport button - only on the BRZ - supposedly gives you the GR86 front-loaded throttle map. So it doesn't change anything except that at 40% pedal travel you are commanding 100% WOT from the engine. Basically like those pedal commanders that people add.
