Those Apple Silicon machines are truly remarkable - my M1 Macbook is still running chill like day 1 after 5 years of daily use. This is the longest I've daily'd the same laptop and still don't feel the urge to upgrade.

My previous 2019 Pro in comparison heated up like a toaster the moment I thought about hooking it up to an external monitor

We have liftoff! Amazing work from NASA.

-good to see Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen to be on this lunar orbit mission.

The menu for the four astronauts on this mission:

There’s a list of common food items that will be on the spacecraft, including 58 tortillas, wheat flat bread, vegetable quiche, breakfast sausage, couscous with nuts, mango salad, granola, and nuts.

Barbecued beef brisket, broccoli au gratin, spicy green beans, macaroni and cheese, tropical fruit salad, butternut squash, and cauliflower are also on the menu.

Crew members will be able to pick from 10 different beverages as they fly, including coffee, green tea, mango-peach smoothie, chocolate and vanilla breakfast drinks, lemonade, apple cider, and cocoa.

Those who crave a bit more of a kick in their food will be able to choose from five different hot sauces that will be flying in the cabin.

And sweet lovers can grab chocolate, cobbler, cookies, cake, pudding, or candy-coated almonds to get their fix.

At the 3 year mark, when you ask for that update, you're asked "but describe how your work is being affected by the lack of upgrade? ...no i don't agree with that one; what other justifications do you have?"

On this note: in the early days at my work, I requested a Microsoft Office license. It went to my director and he asked me why I need it. I said I need to work with spreadsheets. He promptly said "but the Numbers app comes for free on your MacBook, why can't you just use that?"

"But our vendors collaborate with us in .xls!!"

"Ok, so convert those into .numbers."
