Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and other top Pentagon officials were particularly aggrieved by portions of Leo’s January 9 speech in which the pope argued that “a diplomacy that promotes dialogue and seeks consensus among all parties is being replaced by a diplomacy based on force,” and that “war is back in vogue, and a zeal for war is spreading.”

Apparently so bad that the Pope cancelled his planned visit to the USA, and says he may never visit the US while Trump is president...
It's funny because US Catholics were a big base of support for Trump.

So while I agree with that sentence that the bombing is radicalizing the population, the flip side doesn't seem to be working particularly well. It's not apples to apples but the west tried the prosper together approach with Russia and here we are year 5 of the invasion in Ukraine. All it takes is one lulu on top for everything to not work.
No I do not have a solution for you, but the person(s) on top seem to matter a lot as well and the person(s) at the top of a lot of the Middle East gov'ts aren't it.

His wife Melania gave a rare speech today. Apparently, Cheeto knew that his wife would make a speech about Epstein. However, he had no idea what kind of remarks Melania would give during her speech.

A person familiar with the matter told CNN that Donald Trump was aware his wife planned to make Thursday’s statement. But the president told MSNOW in an interview after her remarks that he did not “know anything about” it ahead of the first lady’s appearance.
“I’ve never been friends with Epstein. Donald and I were invited to the same parties as Epstein from time to time, since overlapping in social circles is common in New York City and Palm Beach,” the first lady said in remarks to reporters. “To be clear, I never had a relationship with Epstein or his accomplice, [Ghislaine] Maxwell.”
She called on Congress to provide a forum for Epstein’s victims to testify on Capitol Hill.
“I call on Congress to provide the women who have been victimized by Epstein with a public hearing specifically centered around the survivors, give these victims their opportunity to testify under oath in front of Congress with the power of sworn testimony,” Trump said.
“Each and every woman should have her day to tell her story in public, if she wishes, and then her testimony should be permanently entered into the congressional record.”

The timing is so weird, she must be pretty confident they scrubbed those files well enough that there is no smoking gun for the Diaper Don. I agree with her though, let the survivors testify, give them a voice.
Maybe they've just fallen so far that now it's time to use the Epstein files to distract from the Iran war, lol.

I don't really get your comparison because the US is in two different positions in those scenarios. Everyone tried the prosper together approach with the US as well and they kicked off a conflict by bombing a school during the day. The person on top isn't the only one involved in these situations. There are a lot of other people that have to go along with it between the leaders decisions and someone pressing the button to launch a missile at a civilian target. Every one of them is also guilty.
All I'm saying is I won't be surprised in the slightest when we hear future headlines about how people from these places are now extremists planning attacks against the countries that killed their loved ones.
