tv to home theater no audio
So I got a cheap home theater (Philips 1080p Home Theater System (HTS3566D/37) I got it connected to my TV using an HDMI cable since I was told that's all I would need or will I need something else?

You probably need to go into the setup menu on the TV to tell it where to output the sound.

Its probably something in your TV options, speakers, output (change from speakers to audio system)
If that's not the case, you might have to calibrate your speakers first? I remember my speakers wouldn't work unless I calibrated the system first.

Well I got it to work. I needed a S/PDIF cable to output the sound from my tv.
