Where to get tpms sensor programmed to the car besides the dealership?
I already have oem sensors on the snow wheels and need them programmed to the car. Where is the cheapest place to do this? Dealership is charging about $90-$120 and I need to leave the car there for 3 hours. I read online that people in the states can get all 4 tires done for $10-$20 so would like to find a place in BC that can do it for a lot less then $90

assuming you have a honda since youre in this forum..
my dealer charges $45 to initialize and as long as theres no back up it can easily be done in less than half hour. pretty much we hook up a tool to the obd, run a program and walk to each wheel and confirm the sensors working, and drive the car around till the tpms light shuts off (this part probably takes the longest .. LOL u can do it yourself if u really want to).
dont know who quoted you 90-120 thats insane

Is this something that needs to be done on the newer cars only? On my TL i just put a set on and drove it and they all pretty much read right away. I have two sets of tires and rims and switch have switched back and forth between them for the last three years with no issues.
