An easy HTC M7 question ?
Hi to all phone experts
My friend is using a HTC M7 and recently keep losing signals for voice (not data) for 1-3 hours when he travels from Vancouver back to Tri-Cities area.
May I know is this a bad sign to reflect that his phone is not working ??
Please kindly advise ASAP.

Might be his Power Saving settings.
There's a function where you can have the phone turn off data connectivity if there is a long period of inactivity on the phone.
Settings > Power > Sleep Mode

Hi Levitron
Guess what, my friend somehow did turn on the sleep mode.
Glad that this solution works out for him.

You did mention that it was not losing data but losing voice, so I'm not this is 100% what you're looking for.
LTE requires HSPA for voice, but HSPA will carry both voice and data. (I think this is how it works...can't remember exactly)
So what you may want to check for is forcing the phone into 3G all the time only and see if you are losing both data and voice. Then you know something is up with the HSPA radio (if it's a hardware issue).
