Campus meet 2002

This years Campus meet brought out some really impressive cars that provided us with a sneak peak at what this years import scene has in store. There is no doubt that you will see some of these cars in HIN, IREV, Import Showoff and Import Fest.

First off, The Campus meet, like last years, was run by Wance with,of course, help from the Admin and the mods as well as many volunteers. We managed to stay organized and keep the crowd together and Langara security away.

The campus meet was held on Feb 2nd at Langara College. During the week before, heavy snowfalls had made Vancouver as far from import and lowered car friendly as possible. In true Revscene tradition, the weather cleared enough for an amazing turnout. At one count there were roughly 140 cars, it prolly would have been higher but RevS doesn't know how to count past that. There were cars from every manufacturer and we would like to thank all of the groups who showed up like ZeroFour, Team Celica, the VW’s and even the IC.com guys.

I arrived at Langara a little late with some other accords and when I pulled in I couldn’t believe the amount of cars that were already there with what seemed like more and more still rolling in. Every meet we put up a sign up sheet and usually we get a good amount of people who sign up but it still amazes me as to how many cars actually do show up in the end. It’s great to see that they aren’t all just Honda’s and that so many different makes of cars make appearances.

Over the past year we’ve grown in size and that is no more apparent than at this one meet. I only hope that future meets will be as successful as this one.

I recognize Sweet Civic's Civic and what I think is impact X's Boxster. The MR2 - I forget his name on RS but I think his real name was Jarvis/Jervis. I was still in high school and was still taking the bus around.

I don’t remember going to this one but I do remember the impromptu ones on the side street beside Langara and the subsequent street racing/keep up people played to see how fast each other was lol
