This is 1 of the worst FF games ive ever played. Its dumbed down a special person could beat this game.

How far did you get? I heard some other sources that indicate that is one of the more challenging FF.
Even though it will not be critically acclaimed, it will still garner a large amount of sales.

my friend's almost finished the game, at the last boss.
he was saying how the beginning the game wasn't all that fun, but as the game wore on it becomes pretty good.
It wasn't your traditional FF, very linear - won't miss anything in the game. So i guess other then graphics, there isn't any replay value once you beat it.

Dam that sucks, I just read the wired review and it seems like it is moment to moment battles, no towns, no downtime. For me, that i what makes an RPG and not a shooter. Hopefully they will freak out for the next game and make something akin to ff9 :P

If you like pressing A mindlessly you will love this game. I still play FF3, Chrono Trigger, secret of mana. Heck i just started a game of Zelda -Link to the past the other day.
Games are just as fun if not better than the old in days. MW2 and shit i am really looking forward to Just Cause 2. That game is action packed ive spent about 5 hours playing the DEMO :eek

The linear part turns me off big time, I bore of games like that so quickly, ie. Metal gear solid

If people don't like this game, you can try out another RPG coming out soon, Resonance of Fate... looks like a good game...
I think this game was TOO HYPED up, and people will probably be disappointed due to the hype...
Me, I'm picking up FFXIII tomorrow, and I'll prolly enjoy it...
