Are Richmond drivers really that much worse than the rest of the GVRD? I watch Vancouver's Worst Driver's videos (along with all the related ones like Fraser Valley Buzz) and it seems like there's shitty drivers everywhere if you look hard enough. Folks driving the wrong way, folks in the bike lane, folks who never miss their exits and folks who can't tell when a light turns red.
I think street design makes some of this stuff worse and Richmond has some pretty shit street design despite a straightforward road network (Three Road is a disaster).
Actually Richmond city design is excellent. There’s so many ways to get around no3 road. Luckily all the retarded ah mos drive on no3 road because they don’t know how to get around it.
Your “source” is highlighting passages that lack context and are the judge asserting what he was weighing in his judgement, not the final decision, the native bands lost this court case and are considering appealing, no private land is at risk and the only land at risk are government owned ones. They’re also suing other native bands as wells lots of in-fighting.

Yea, there was a whole thing about some driving instructor bribing an ICBC examiner in Richmond in the late 2000s. Idk how many got away with their bribed licenses and still driving around today lol

Richmond drivers are pretty predictable and slow. Anyone who says this unironically is just plain stupid ("hahaha chineeeese" stupid inbred hicks..) and hasn't driven around enough. Ever go from Hwy 1 W into Chilliwack? As soon as civilization hits there's dummies everywhere.
The awful Richmond driver's aren't even from Richmond - they're commuting into Richmond from the FV. And they're insanely unpredictable. Fucking idiots.
I don't drive enough in Vancouver to make a blanket statement anymore, but 10 years ago I would say it's significantly more aggressive than anywhere else.
MR drivers are nuts.
NV drivers are slow as shit and I want to zzzz

The people you get on Richmond roads, you don’t get anywhere else. You’ll never see the amount of completely oblivious drivers you do in Richmond anywhere else.

after living in both richmond and surrey, richmond drivers are just totally oblivious to their surroundings.
they don't drive with malice, they're just dumb. i find that a lot of accidents can be prevented by identifying these drivers by their sketchy driving and then just anticipating that they will do something dangerous.
surrey drivers don't drive with courtesy.. they will u-turn anywhere even if they have to do a 3 point turn and stop traffic, they will stop anywhere and put their hazards on even in a right turn lane, and they take super late left turns on reds and almost hit the pedestrians about to step into the crosswalk.
both are dangerous tbh.. i find the richmond ones to be more unpredictable and the surrey ones to be more selfish.

The Richmond drivers come from parts of Asia where they normally take public transit, so they are not used to driving whatsoever.
The Surrey drivers come from parts of Asia where the rules of the road don't really apply, so it's a "go if you dare" mentality.

tbh the worst drivers are in Seattle.. every time I drive there it's like a death trap. Richmond + Surrey. You can tell when traffic becomes big dumb LOL. The further you get away from Seattle, the better the driving is.

driving into storefronts is definitely unique to richmond. the frequency of that happening is definitely impressive!
