This is not an authoritative answer, but I've seen in store where the folks signing up senior citizens for the CT card for a small purchase ( < $50) they do mention the CT money bonus.

From past instances of this exact promo, as long as your purchase from CT (or their other branded stores) earns CTM (CT Money) then its eligible, no min. dollar value. So basically just about anything, it just does not apply to purchases of GCs.

TD's doing a 2% cash-back deal for money moved into a registered investment account with them. And 1% for anything non-registered.
If you do the math, that's a lot of money!! They told me they'll deposit the cash-back into the registered account, and it doesn't count as additional contribution. So it's effectively bonus contribution room added to the TFSA / RRSP  .

Costco related post but also frugal and weight loss related so I'm posting here out of the three possibilities lol.
I've been buying the $8 chicken, deboning it, shredding it by hand and then making chicken wraps to bring to work. I am saving money, losing weight and taking advantage of Costco all at the same time. If that isn't a win, I don't know what is.
