Whoa~ Darrel from Darrel's Deals!
While he (and his jovial image from the Save-on ads) is certainly leagues and miles better than Rustad, the answer he gave here also seems kind of BS, esp for someone from his background. I hope it is just a matter of him not being a smooth-talking politician yet, and I desperately hope he'll turn out to be a moderate Conservative.
But moderate conservatives may not be enough to win the party leadership race in this day and age. You almost need to be a right wing nutjob in order to please the idiot membership base.

Canada’s Minister of Public Safety says the rise of extortion-related crimes in the Lower Mainland is “unacceptable” and the federal RCMP will send more officers to support ground efforts.
Minister Gary Anandasangaree says he met with his provincial counterpart, Nina Krieger, B.C. Premier David Eby, RCMP Commissioner Mike Duheme, and CBSA President Erin O’Gorman Wednesday.
“It is clear that all levels of government must work together to disrupt and dismantle these criminal networks,” Anandasangaree said in a statement on social media.
He says the deployment of the 20 more officers and committing helicopter resources to Surrey is the urgent and serious response that the situation demands.
The announcement comes amid pressure from local governments, including Surrey city council asking the federal government to declare a ‘state of emergency’ over the crime wave.
Anandasangaree’s statement Wednesday did not include that declaration.

Man these "extortionists'" racket is borderline child's play man. I'm not trying to downplay it but come on, how many people have been shot? zero. I mean take us back to the early 2000s our home grown Indian Gangsters were taking each other out left and right every week. These fucking derps are spraying shops and houses with bullets in the middle of the night. Is anyone getting paid? Who is dumb enough to pay them? Maybe we need to sic the old school guys on them if any of them are still alive. It doesn't seem like the police and RCMP are up to the task.
