I never really used the dating app other than getting it to get a sense on how popular apps are doing (I was in the app business). So can't really comment on them.
But has any baller here got into sugardaddying? 3 of my friends/acquaintances, all of them after failed marriage gave up on the idea finding long term relationship, well, at least for the time being. All got into it. They explained their rationales to me and it kinda make perfect sense.
They are all in the late 30/early 40s where although not balling out of control, they have a decent disposable income, especially when they've got no wife/GF/kids. Their chicks are all easily 7.5+, with some of them either models or beautiful chicks in college.
Spend maybe a 2k or so (they are in China/Taiwan and that's the rough ballpark) a month, and you get super hot chick with option for exclusivity. A quasi-gf like without any of the commitment issue.

Their explanation is, you can put the same sentence with "sugarbaby, GF and wife"... the same question still hold true.
In their age group, in the area that they are in, it's hard to find true love as many women specifically focus on their financial power and what they can "provide".
Thus, their rationale is this, since it's all about money anyway, why not find someone who's "aesthetically and physically pleasing." Plus, their sugarbabes never give them shit. They go to their place, they get treated nicely. They listen to their complains and just enjoy.
