Getaway I fucking love it.

I want one just to be able to laugh everyday at the goofy ass name. The 420hp doesn't hurt either.

BC Hydro released new prices for charging:

40 cents/kWh for super fast charging
31 cents/kWh for level 2 charging

Where are the free ones in Richmond, Vancouver, Burnaby? Less and less. Sometimes there are some free ones at TD Bank.

One at Richmond has one. Mind you, cuz they are free, they are not maintained well, full of Chinamen parked there for hours, and maybe 1 out of 2 not working.

The Subaru Uncharted GT is an interesting proposition.

MSRP is $51,995 before freight PDI taxes

Subaru is offering $5,000 off so it qualifies for the EV rebate of $5000

Out the door cost $50,800 all in

$10k off right out of the gate is pretty sweet, and $50k all-in in cash seems like a decent price for a spiritual WRX hatchback successor in EV form.

Looks like the lease option finally showed up as well - works out to about $700/mo for 48 months and 20k/yr allowance. It's not quite Solterra-level appealing, but a good start for a brand new model.

EDIT: looks like the Solterra tech package got an extra $2,500 off ($6,500 from Subaru now), which means the dealer only needs to discount $2k to get it under $50k. That said, the interest rate went up 1% for a lease.

same tech just varying body style and battery capacity?

bZ mini = chr/uncharted

vanilla = bZ/solterra, wagon = bz woodland/trailseeker

bZ large = highlander getaway

wow the chinese really lit a fire under their ass, i thought they were more committed to hybrids?

Same general tech and architecture, but HP numbers are different:

C-HR / Uncharted + BZ / Solterra + Highlander EV = 338HP
BZ Woodland / Trailseeker = 375HP
Getaway = 420HP

I don't think the RZ got any performance updates - it's still 308HP as before.

Yeah and motors, like radeonboy mentioned. Somebody planned this with an Excel spreadsheet, you just know .

I think the math works out to something roughly like this:

bZ mini
C-HR / Uncharted
Base FWD trims: 221 hp:
Front axle - large motor
Rear axle - N/A

AWD trims: 338 hp:
Front axle - small motor
Rear axle - small motor

bZ vanilla = bZ / Solterra / RZ

All Toyota & Subaru trims: 338 hp:
Front axle - small motor
Rear axle - small motor

Lexus RZ350e: 221 hp:
Front axle - large motor
Rear axle - N/A

Lexus RZ450e: 308 hp:
Front axle - small motor (detuned for more rear bias)
Rear axle - small motor

Lexus RZ550e: 402 hp:
Front axle - large motor (detuned for more rear bias)
Rear axle - large motor

bZ wagon = bZ Woodland / Trailseeker
All trims: 375 hp:
Front axle - large motor
Rear axle - small motor

bZ large = Highlander, Getaway
Toyota base FWD trim: 221 hp:
Front axle - large motor
Rear axle - N/A

Toyota AWD trims: 338 hp:
Front axle - small motor
Rear axle - small motor

Subaru all trims: 420 hp:
Front axle - large motor
Rear axle - large motor
